12twenty: The hub for your career development journey.
All Rice students and alumni have access to 12twenty, a tool where you can:

- Log In to Your Account

Visit rice.12twenty.com/login. Select the "Login with your NetID" button. Use your Rice credentials to sign in through the Rice Single Sign-On (SSO) portal.
- If you are a current Rice student, you should be able to log in through the SSO portal. If you receive any error message, please take a screenshot and send it to us at ccd@rice.edu so we can resolve any issues with your account.
- If you are a new Rice student, your account may not have been created yet. You will not be able to access 12twenty until the registrar shares your matriculation with the CCD. You will be notified via email when the CCD creates your account in 12twenty.
- If you graduated from Rice before 2023, please complete the form linked here to activate your 12twenty account.
- Your Profile

Setting up your profile helps you track your accomplishments and career goals, and allows the CCD to recommend opportunities that might be of interest to you. Once logged in, click on the profile tab from the left side navigation bar, where you can upload a photo and headline.
The Home tab of the profile can be edited and updated over time as your preferences and documents change. This section includes Job Preferences. Personalize your job search by selecting preferences in priority order (Industry, Function, & Location).
The Profile tab is where you will tell us about yourself and your interests. Click the Edit button to fill out your profile, and don’t forget to hit Save to save your changes. Your profile includes demographics and contact information.
Get to Know Your Home Page
After setting up your profile, the Home page is what you will see for all future logins.

Announcements – from the CCD team. Check this tile often as it is frequently updated with new information.

My Calendar – includes upcoming appointments, events, and interviews for which you are scheduled to participate in or attend.

Recommended Job Listings – keep the “Preferences” section of your profile up to date to ensure you see the latest recommendations.

Recommended Events – events are open for registration and recommended based on your career preferences and program.

Outcomes – log your internship and full-time experiences to keep your professional profile up-to-date.

- Visibility to Employers
-
You can opt in to making your account visible to employers. Until you opt in, your record will not be searchable by or visible to employers. By opting in, employers will be able to connect with you and view the information you’ve shared, such as your work experience, career preferences, and resume (if available).
To make yourself visible to employers, hover over your name at the bottom of the left navigation bar, click Account Settings, and select Yes for the "Allow Employers to contact me with job opportunities" field.
- Application Materials

Start by uploading your primary resume; you can set this resume as your default. Next, upload additional versions of your resume, as well as your cover letters, transcripts, recommendation letters, writing samples, and other application materials. You can also include URLs for online portfolios and other curated sources. For help on your resume and other application materials, please visit the Resource Library in 12twenty.

Use 12twenty to schedule appointments and get personalized career support. Learn more about personalized support.
If you are a Professional Master's Student and you don't see the appointments tab on 12twenty, it is likely because you are not yet eligible to make an appointment with the CCD. Please learn more about the CCD's modules for master's students here. Completion of the modules is required to make an appointment with the CCD.
- Employers and Contacts

Employers: This page consists of a directory of companies and organizations. Search for employers of interest to you and click the ♡ icon to favorite the employer.
Contacts: This page lists recruiters and other representatives who recruit or engage with Rice University on behalf of their Employer. Search for contacts who recruit or work in an area or function of interest to you and click the ♡ icon to favorite the contact.
Target Employers: This page has two tabs, one for your favorite Employers and one for your favorite Contacts. As you favorite employers and contacts, they will automatically be added to your growing Target lists.
- Jobs and Internships

Jobs and Internships: Search for full-time roles, internships, externships, campus jobs, and more. Each posting includes a description, requirements, and application instructions.
Some postings will allow you to submit your resume via the system, and if the employer is hosting on-campus interviews (OCI), you can select a time slot if invited to interview. The Jobs and Internships landing page spotlights top destinations and quick search options by job type and location type.Use the Search page under Jobs and Internships for advanced options. Use the Applied page to review your submitted applications.
The search feature includes several filters – such as Employer, Job Function, City, and Work Authorization – that you can use to find opportunities. Use additional filters to find very specific opportunities, but please keep in mind that they may be excluding great opportunities for you.
When you're searching for jobs and internships on 12twenty, you'll find a mix of opportunities. Many are posted directly by recruiters and Rice alumni specifically seeking to hire Rice talent, while other opportunities are sourced from the global 12twenty network. 12twenty network jobs allow Rice students and alumni to tap into the worldwide network of universities and employers, powered by 12twenty, to drive career success.
Saved Searches: You can set up saved searches on 12twenty and receive email alerts when new postings that match your filters become available. On the "Search" page, apply your filters. Then, click on "Turn on Email Alerts for this Search." Name your saved search and select the email notification frequency. Click OK.

Explore upcoming opportunities and RSVP for events to help you prepare for your career and connect with opportunities. Events on 12twenty include CCD workshops, employer information sessions, coffee chats, and more.
- Research Tools

Research Tools give you direct and real-time access to valuable insights on career trends, salary data, and employment opportunities, allowing you to learn from and compare outcomes with other students and alumni. You can use these tools to understand career pathways for specific majors and programs, identify recruiting timelines for your target employers, and learn about major employers in your target locations.

We welcome Rice University faculty and staff to join us on the 12twenty platform. There are multiple ways you can engage on 12twenty as a faculty or staff member:
- Student Access: View job postings and events from a student perspective. Request a student access account to enhance your understanding of the Rice career ecosystem and help refer students to opportunities.Request a student access account here.
- Employer Access: To recruit Rice students for campus opportunities, you can create your employer user account at https://rice.12twenty.com/hire.
- Administrator Access: If you are involved with the CCD, you can request administrator access to monitor platform activities. Please contact Camille Elmore (cve1@rice.edu) for assistance.
