Custom Rice Mentorship Opportunities
The Center for Career Development offers customized mentoring options for Rice alumni that align with your goals, interests, and availability. We can help you connect with students on campus, in your office, or from the comfort of home.
There are three primary ways to mentor students and support the Rice Career Ecosystem.
Owl Edge Externships
Mentor students over Winter and Spring Break. Mentors provide Rice students with a first impression of careers and the chance to explore the breadth of opportunities Rice graduates can pursue.
Ask an Owl
Engage in real-time career conversations. This service uses smart matching to connect students directly with alumni who can answer their questions. As an alumnus, you can also ask your own questions and network with the Rice Network.
Campus Engagement
Connect with students through group fireside chats or 1:1 informal coffee chats, virtually or on campus. Complete the linked form to let us know you're interested in engaging with students.
