Sponsorship

The Center for Career Development’s Employer Sponsorship program increases awareness of your opportunities to Rice University’s students, while also supporting the critical career development services provided by the CCD. Your support as a sponsor impacts your organization’s recognition and branding; access to career fairs, events, recruiting, and our students; and exclusive connections to the Rice Community.

Platinum Annual Sponsorship – $8,000

  • Prominent sponsorship branding on the Rice University Center for Career Development website that includes customized information about your organization’s opportunities, events, social media, and more

  • Recognition in marketing, complimentary registration, and choice table placement for Fall and Spring Career & Internship Expos

  • Recognition in marketing and employer booth at CCD Fall and Spring Picnics

  • 3 complimentary campus information sessions each academic year

  • Owl Explore Accounts: Candidate search access for all organization representatives on 12twenty

  • Sponsorship recognition at Center for Career Development workshops

  • Priority invitation to participate in Resumayhem, a virtual resume review event held in the fall and spring semesters

  • Invitation to present/participate in a meeting of the CCD’s Peer Career Advisor cohort

  • Priority invitation to networking and panel events

  • Priority use of campus facilities during on-campus interviews

  • Strategic planning consultations with members of the Employer Engagement Team (includes kick-off and additional sessions as needed)
  • Option to meet with full CCD staff to share your opportunities

Gold Sponsorship – $5,000

Gold Sponsors can pick one (1) of the following event sponsorship options. Note that options may be limited depending on the timing of sponsorship commitment. Employers are not limited to one Gold sponsorship and can select multiple events to sponsor at the gold level at $5,000 each.

  • Recognition in marketing, complimentary registration, and primary table placement (double booth) for Fall Career & Internship Expo

  • Recognition in marketing, complimentary registration, and primary table placement (double booth) for Spring Career & Internship Expo

  • Recognition on all marketing, 5 minute speaking time, and reserved table for 10 representatives at the annual CCD Etiquette Lunch

Additionally, all Gold sponsors receive:

  • 2 complimentary campus information sessions each academic year

  • Owl Explore Accounts: Candidate search access for all organization representatives on 12twenty

  • Priority invitation to participate in Resumayhem, a virtual resume review event held in the fall and spring semesters

  • Priority invitation to networking and panel events

Premium Picnic Sponsorship - $3,000

Want to stand out to Rice students, build your campus recruiting brand, and connect your company to a large, fun event at Rice? Consider supporting our CCD Picnic. Each fall and spring (August and January), the Picnic attracts hundreds of students as we promote career development opportunities and launch the recruiting season. Students take advantage of free food trucks while enjoying a live DJ, giveaways, and expert career advice. Sponsors receive premium space outside to share information (and swag) about their company with students, and we invite you to bring as many reps as you would like to join the fun. This is a great way to build brand recognition on campus before recruiting season begins.

In addition to the opportunity to attend and enjoy the event, your company receives:

  • Premium recognition in marketing for the Picnic (i.e. CCD Spring Picnic, presented by Sponsor Name)

  • Booth location upgrade to Sponsorship Row for the Career & Internship Expo during the semester in which you sponsor the picnic (provided your organization chooses to register for the Expo at the regular registration rate)

  • 2 complimentary campus information sessions each academic year

  • Owl Explore Accounts: Candidate search access for all organization representatives on 12twenty to search Rice students profiles and resumes

  • Priority invitation to networking and panel events

  • Priority use of campus facilities during on-campus interviews

Silver Sponsorship – $2,500

Silver Sponsors can pick one (1) of the following Career & Internship Expo sponsorship options. Note that options may be limited depending on the timing of sponsorship commitment. Employers are not limited to one Silver sponsorship and can select multiple events to sponsor at the silver level at $2,500 each.

  • Recognition in marketing, complimentary registration, and choice table placement (single booth) for Fall Career & Internship Expo

  • Recognition in marketing, complimentary registration, and choice table placement (single booth) for Spring Career & Internship Expo

Additionally, all Silver sponsors receive:

  • 1 complimentary campus information session each academic year

  • Owl Explore Accounts: Candidate search access for all organization representatives on 12twenty to search Rice students profiles and resumes

Peer Career Advisor Program Annual Sponsorship – $1,500

A Peer Career Advisor (PCA) Program Annual Sponsor is the exclusive annual sponsor of our PCA program. Work directly with our student ambassadors, who strengthen the Center for Career Development’s engagement with the Rice community on a peer-to-peer level. Benefits of the PCA Program Sponsorship include:

  • Participation in up to four PCA meetings and networking events

  • Company logo or name on exclusive student t-shirts for Rice Peer Career Advisors

  • Logo and company link on program page on website

  • Premium recognition in event publicity

Additionally, all PCA Program sponsors receive:

  • 1 complimentary campus information session each academic year

  • Owl Explore Accounts: Candidate search access for all organization representatives on 12twenty to search Rice students profiles and resumes

Owl La Carte Sponsorships:

In addition to our traditional sponsorship packages, employers may select any of our Owl La Carte sponsorship options below to enhance their campus presence. These may be purchased to supplement an existing sponsorship package or individually.

  • Professional Headshot Day - $1,000

    • Facilitate an opportunity for upwards of 100 students to get a professional headshot taken. Recognition on all marketing included. If desired, representatives from your organization can attend to promote opportunities to participating students.

  • Industry Night Sponsorship - $1,000

    • Industry Nights are multi-employer information and networking events for Rice students and employer partners. Our sponsors for these events help the CCD secure event space and provide refreshments to attendees. Note that options are limited depending on employer industry and the timing of sponsorship commitment. Industry Night Sponsors receive premium table placement, pick of placement in event program, and recognition on all marketing.

  • Career Development Workshop Lunch Sponsorship - $500
    • Support the CCD’s efforts to get students career-ready by sponsoring catered lunches for 1 semester of career development workshops. Your organization will be recognized at each workshop.

  • Owl Explore Access Account - $50

    • Owl Explore account access in 12twenty, Rice’s career services management platform, will allow employers to utilize exclusive Rice candidate search features. The candidate search features will allow employer users to explore Rice student profiles and their latest resumes, utilize filters to target specific student populations (graduation year, major, etc.), and communicate via email with choice students to brand organization and promote opportunities.

    • Owl Explore account access is available at the discretion of the Center for Career Development. Partners are chosen based on alignment with Rice student interest. If approved for this type of account, your company will be invoiced for $50 for the academic year access that starts annually Aug 15th and ends every May 15th.

    • A $50 Owl Explore account covers access for 1 employer user. Additional accounts can be requested for $10 each. An introductory meeting with the CCD to review how to use candidate search will be scheduled if desired by the sponsoring employer.

    • The CCD reserves the right to rescind Owl Explore account access at any time should communications with students become problematic in either content or abundance.

Give

Friends of the Center for Career Development can give back to help to services that benefitted their career success or a family member’s career success. These funds allow us to continue providing high-quality student career development and employment programs. Gifts are unlimited with base contributions of $100.
