UNIV 295: Exploring Careers Through An Internship 

(1-3 Credit Course) 

This course is designed for currently enrolled undergraduate students to gain experience in a work place setting while earning course credit.  The purpose is to supplement classroom learning, providing an opportunity for students to apply their knowledge and further develop professional skills.  Students enrolled in the course will meet individually with a career counselor to process their internship experience and discuss factors that affect career decision-making and satisfaction.  The coursework will include completion of an action plan to prepare students to market their qualifications and internship experience to potential employers and graduate schools. 

Please note the following:

  • To enroll in the course, students will arrange the internship and receive approval from the course instructor.
  • UNIV 295 is open to students in all areas of study; however, students may wish to first check with their department regarding available internship for credit courses.
  • The course is not repeatable for credit.
