Host an Information Session

Information sessions are a great way to promote your company’s opportunities and interact with potential candidates before your interviews. These sessions allow students to get to know your organization beyond the job description. You may also create a specialized session unique to your organization (i.e., alumni panel, interview preparation, simulation, competition, industry-specific panel or presentation).

To request an Information Session, log in to RICElink and follow the Quick Link on the right side of your home page titled "Request Information Session."

Registration for Spring 2017 will open in RICElink on November 4, 2016. 


Fall 2016: August 29 – November 17* (Monday – Thursday)
Spring 2017: January 19 - April 13* (Monday - Thursday)

Unless otherwise noted, sessions are held in Huff House, Room 107 (accommodates 60), Monday through Thursday at 4:00  5:30 p.m. or 6:00  7:30 p.m.
All rooms are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Fall 2016

No Interviews Will Be Scheduled on the Following Dates:        
September 5: Labor Day
September 13: Fall 2016 Career & Internship Expo
October 10-11: Midterm Recess
Other Important Dates:
August 22: First Day of Classes
August 29: On-Campus Recruiting Opens
November 18: Last Day of On-Campus Recruiting
December 2: Last Day of Classes

Spring 2017

January 16: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
February 9-10: Spring Recess
March 11-19: Spring Break
March TBD: Chili Cook-Off & Career Carnival

Information Sessions are $275. If you are a non-profit or government organization, please contact us regarding a reduced fee.
Your registration fee includes a CCD representative on-site to help you with set-up, inclusion on the CCD calendar (and in other marketing efforts), use of projector, screen, DVD player, and audio. LAPTOP IS NOT PROVIDED.


Cater Your Event
Catering is optional and coordination is the sole responsibility of the employer. Please note, we are unable to place your catering order for you. When placing your catering order, instruct the delivery driver to deliver to Huff House, Room 107. Please note that if your Information Session is held outside of Huff House, food and drinks are not allowed in classrooms.

Advertise Your Information Session
We are happy to help you market your Information Session to Rice students. Your session will be posted to students through RICElink and on our events calendar. You may also email us a flyer and/or two to three sentence description about your session. We will distribute the flyer across campus, and also post it on our social media sites. A two to three sentence description will be included in our weekly newsletter to students and faculty, and also posted on our social media sites. You might also consider advertising in the student newspaper, The Rice Thresher.
