Host an Information Session

Information sessions are a great way to promote your company’s opportunities and interact with potential candidates before your interviews. These sessions allow students to get to know your organization beyond the job description. You may also create a specialized session unique to your organization (i.e., alumni panel, interview preparation, simulation, competition, industry-specific panel or presentation).

SELECT A DATE


Spring 2015: January 20 – April 16* (Monday – Thursday).
Unless otherwise noted, sessions are held in Huff House, Room 107 (accommodates 60), Monday through Thursday at 4:00  5:30 p.m. or 6:00  7:30 p.m.
All rooms are available on a first come, first serve basis.

No Interviews Will Be Scheduled on the Following Dates:        
February 6: Spring 2015 Career & Internship Expo
March 2 - 6: Spring Break
March 13: Recruiter Chili Cook-Off & Career Carnival
March 31: Texas Job Fair
April 2 - 3: Mid-term Recess
Other Important Dates:
January 12: First Day of Classes
January 26: On-Campus Recruiting Opens
April 17: Last Day of On-Campus Recruiting
April 24: Last Day of Classes

INFORMATION SESSION FEE


Information Sessions are $275. If you are a non-profit or government organization, please contact us regarding a reduced fee.
Your registration fee includes a CCD representative on-site to help you with set-up, inclusion on the CCD calendar (and in other marketing efforts), use of projector, screen, DVD player, and audio. LAPTOP IS NOT PROVIDED.


PREPARING FOR YOUR INFORMATION SESSION


Cater Your Event
Catering is optional and coordination is the sole responsibility of the employer. Please note, we are unable to place your catering order for you. When placing your catering order, instruct the delivery driver to deliver to Huff House, Room 107. Please note that if your Information Session is held outside of Huff House, food and drinks are not allowed in classrooms.

Advertise Your Information Session
We are happy to help you market your Information Session to Rice students. Your session will be posted to students through RICElink and on our events calendar. You may also send us a flyer and/or two to three sentence description about your session to Jessica Fleenor, Marketing & Events Specialist. We will distribute the flyer across campus, and also post it on our social media sites. A two to three sentence description will be included in our weekly newsletter to students and faculty, and also posted on our social media sites. You might also consider advertising in the student newspaper, The Rice Thresher.
